The Wounded Queen

There is a very mean dog that visits our neighbor across the road. He's been coming a lot lately and he always comes on MY property and tries to fight with me and Sir Bear through the fence. Today it happened again, but this time I got hurt. Somehow I tore the pad on my right front paw. I couldn't walk on it and there was lot's of blood. The Duchess was beside herself with fury (and worry). She wants to march over to that house and give them a piece of her mind. However, she's afraid of their dogs. They have about 5 big ones when the mean one is visiting and they scare her. If she can't figure out how to talk to the people, and the mean dog keeps me from enjoying my OWN yard, the Duchess said she will have to call the Sheriff. The Duke and Duchess have lived in the castle for 15 years and never had mean dogs in the area. Everyone around here knows each other and are friendly neighbors. These people are not sociable and no one knows anything about them except that they have mean dogs visit them. I will probably have to go to the Vet tomorrow.
I hate mean dogs.

  1. Oh no,poor Emma!!

That's so not fair. Those dogs need to stay on their property.

Maybe it's time to make some calls and let people know what's going on.

We hope you get well soon!

  2. So sorry to hear about your injury, Emma! It's so sad when people do not take responsibility for their dogs. Hope you are feeling better soon.

  3. Addie and Lucie,
You're so right...it's not fair. Now I can't run and play without the Duke or Duchess being right there with me, in case the mean dog comes over. Thanks for visiting , and thanks for the good wishes.

  4. Andrea,
The mean dogs owner saw what his dog did and called him off, so maybe there is hope for the future that he will control him better. Thanks for the visit and get well wishes. Make sure to tell Sophie I am injured so she will feel sorry for me! (I love all this attention!)

  5. Oh poor Emma, I am so sorry your paw got hurt. Beth's paw got hurt once too, and it needed surgery two times because she kept ripping it open. Silly Beth..but it is all okay now. Pads take forever to heal. I hope you feel better soon!

  6. BCxFour,
I am going to the vet tomorrow :( I sure hope they can fix it without surgery! Tonight I got to take the bandage off and I get to sleep with one of the Dukes socks on my leg! He's so nice to share his socks with me.
Thanks for visiting and I'm sure glad Brynn is home where she belongs.
