This is the Mean Dog. Even though he looks kind of happy in the first photo, I don't think he is. The Duchess took these pictures through the window with a zoom lens. She still feels sorry for him, but not sorry enough to get a better picture!

That is the same kind of mean dog that bit Chance in the ear and Far Guy in the hand. I hate to see any dog tied up, some dog owners should be chained up and tied outside too.

ReplyDeleteLast fall the Duke did some clearing and took down the old fence. (It was falling down and covered with blackberries). The rains came too soon for him to finish, so he put up a temporary 3' high field fence. Now he is replacing that with a proper 4' fence (still cattle fencing) strung tight with no way for a mean dog to get in :)

It's too bad Mean Dog is chained up! That can really make him mean, if he wasn't normally! Glad you are safe within a fence!
ReplyDeleteOh very mean scary dog. Those pictures made Bonnie crawl under the desk. She hates mean dogs too. She met a mean pitbull (with stupid owners) on the trail yesterday - she still hasn't emotionally recovered from that shock.
