It Must Have Been Love, But it's Over Now

Lay a wet nose on my pillow
Leave the dog toys on the ground

I wake up lonely, is there a silence
in the backyard and all around

Touch me now, I close my eyes
And dream away...

It must have been love, but it's over now
It must have been good, but I lost it somehow

It must have been love, but it's over now
From the moment we sniffed, till the time had run out

Make believing we're together
That I'm sheltered by your heart

But in and outside I turn to water
Like a teardrop in your paw

And it's a hard summer's day
I dream away...

It must have been love, but it's over now
It was all that I wanted, now I'm living without

It must have been love, but it's over now
From the moment we sniffed till the time had run out

It must have been love....

This post is dedicated to my dreamboat, Gryff.

  2. Far Side,

Gryff lives way up in Washington State with his family. I met him the day we went there to meet Bess (the dog we were hoping to adopt). He's a real sweetheart. Don't be sad! The Duchess says there's lot's of "dogs in the park", so to speak :) And Sir Bear still adores me - well, that's not saying much is it?
    Kisses for Chance!

I have reason to believe that your love affair has not gasped its last breath. Embrace this glimmer of hope and keep the faith my dear girl.

Mom did too, except she says the song is stuck in her head now just from reading it. BUT she is smiling because now when she hears it in her head, the pictures are of you!
