The Chicken House

Last night the chickens finally moved into their new house.  And I finally got to walk among my subjects.  The Duchess was scared that I was going to hurt them, but I ended up proving myself.  Truth be told, I don't want to hurt them, I just want to herd them!

The Duchess asked me to send her apologies for the non-stop jabbering during the video.  She was quite a nervouse wreck when the Duke let me into the Hen House!  BOL!!!  Anyway, here's my peeps :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Kisses,

  1. Oh Emma, we knew you would not hurt your little peeps! Mistaya is the same way with all little creatures. She tries so hard to watch over all of them. Tell the Dutchess that we loved the video...my mom talks like that too when I am around little creatures too!

You did a good job of restraining yourself, but I could see why the Duchess was a bit nervous:)

  6. Wow Emma, you were so good with those little chicks! I have to admit, I wouldn't be as calm as you, I'd be running them in circles!

  8. Emma, we are so very impressed with your gentleness. There is no way at all that we would behave like that with those chicks, sorry to say that, but it is true.

Thanks for sharing the video - we loved hearing your Mom's voice too, ours would have been totally freaking out if it were the three of us in there.

  15. Hi Emma Rose. What a great video and I have to say that it doesn't surprise me that you behaved yourself, Border Collies aren't killer dogs are they, I'm sure you just want to look after them and keep them rounded up so they don't wander off and get eaten by the fox.

  19. Boy oh boy! Chickens! Are they imprinted on you, so they'll follow you around [once they figure out you're not going to eat them]? Mama never gets us anything fun like that. Of course, Abby with her strong prey drive could never be trusted around them. Jed - maybe.
