Dog Show and Weekend Projects

Last weekend the Duke and Duchess went to the Rose City Classic Dog Show in Portland. They took our measurements with them on a scrap of paper. I could not understand why they would do that. . . . .

until they came home with these. . .

Our new jackets for camping.

None of us were very happy about it!

So today they made up for it by baking us some treats.
This was a big deal because the Duchess does not cook,
and the Duke decided to "help".

There were some raised voices and a few unkind words baked into those cookies.
I hope the oven was hot enough to kill those "germs"!

But I must say, the kitchen sure did smell good!

We all waited patiently.

Another project being worked on is this -

The Duchess got this USB turntable for Christmas.
It plugs into her computer and magically copies her old records into iTunes.

How cool is that?
Then when we go camping we can take all the oldies with us!

However, it is going to be a very long process.

One. Song. At. A. Time.

Personally, I think she should just buy the songs from iTunes.
But she says it would be too expensive and more importantly, they don't have them all.
She likes the "flip sides" and the songs that were never famous.

I knew there was something seriously wrong with her!

Hahaha! I'm just kidding :)

Kisses,

  3. That is one cool gadget! Mom says Grandpa would like one of those. He has a lot of vinyl, too, as well as eight tracks!

I think your coats look very stylish and warm! I'm glad they baked you cookies, though. Cookies make up for everything!

  9. We don't blame you for not wanting to wear those jackets, but if it means you get to go camping, then just appease them. Treats look furry yummy. The Momster is wondering if it takes a really long time to transfer the vinyls to the CDs - she has been tempted to get one of those fancy machines too.

  10. Have no fear, my sweet ER. You have my heart.

That's my "aunt" CaƱa playing with me in the snow. She's an older woman! This is a big development since she couldn't stand me as a puppy. Now I am the only dog she deigns to play with. All the others think she's a big grouch, but I know better and bring out her joy.

    Mmmmm.....those cookies look scrumptious.

Ms. Alpha wants to know if your USB record converter is as great as it seems. She WANTS one real bad!

    Yours always,

  11. Hi Friends! About the USB turntable. It is awesome. It works very well and is easy enough for the Duchess to use. (Seriously easy). It does take time. First you play the song, then it saves the song, then it transfers the song. Oh yeah, and you have to name the song and artist if it doesn't recognize it. You would be amazed at how many songs it DOES recognize! The Duchess has not figured out how to do an entire album at one time. There should be a way but the Duchess is not the sharpest crayon in the box, if you know what I mean :)

This turntable came from Costco by the way. And the Duchess ask me to tell you she was worried about the "noise" on the old records. But when she started listening to them she loved them - noise and all! It was just like being a kid again :) (I told you, she is not the brightest crayon . . . )

    Kisses!!

I'm definitely not a very sharp crayon at all when it comes to computer stuff but that new gadget sounds wonderful if it's easy!! I have hundreds of very old albums that I would love to be on iTunes! Thanks for the information and enjoy your cookies! Love, Debbie and Holly
