Where Have We Been?

Actually, we have mostly been home.  Well, that's not completely accurate.  "WE" meaning Sir Bear, Mister Higgins, and Yours Truly.  The Duke and Duchess have been off shopping and doing Heaven knows what, leaving us at the castle to fend for ourselves.  Now, is that any way to treat a Queen?  NO!

The good news is (sort of) that the wrapping is off the leg for now.  I do not miss it at all.  The lump on my "knee" is a bit smaller, but still obvious. The Duchess says I will need to have an Xray most likely, but for now we are to keep an eye on it for any change.  Also, I should refrain from running. Ha!  Like that will ever happen!  Oops. . . please don't tell the Duchess I said that.  She said she would trust me outside until I prove her wrong.  If she finds out I am running I will be back on the dreaded leash.  Our secret?  Thanks!

The bright side of being neglected is the "guilt".  I can make the Duchess feel guilty just by giving her a kiss.  If I give her two kisses she will let me chew on a rawhide bone for awhile.  Works every time!  This morning she found a little "matt" behind my ear and you would think the world was ending! That ought to be good for a Frosty Paws at the very least!  Maybe even Peanut Butter Dog Treats!!!

So, I guess what I'm really saying is that life is good here at the castle :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Kisses,

  1. Hi Emma!

It's hard for us Border Collies not to run. We sure hope you lump goes away.

GUILT is the best and always brings us more treats and toys. But it doesn't replace a good snuggle :)

All paws crossed that your knee improves.

    Lots of Luv & Kisses

  6. Emma Rose, we have wondered where you were! We love seeing you and everyone! We are glad the lump is getting better. As much as you want to run, it's going to be hard not to but you shouldn't until it's completely healed. Guilt...now use that one all of the time! You have seen so far what you have been bestowed with by kisses and all, so use more of the guilt factor to your advandage! If your mom is somewhat like mine, she will completely melt everytime and bestow you with everything you could dream of!! Get a tangle in your ear that she has to work out or cut out...that's worth lots of bones and treats. Just be sure you make it look like it hurts a little. Lessons I have learned so far!! Lots of love, Holly and mom

  7. Things are very busy here too, Emma Rose. We hope you keep resting that knee so you can avoid surgery. We know how hard it must be not to run, but do try to be a good girl.

  13. Ahh, guilt is a wonderful thing...I am using it to my advantage now as well. The whole splinter thing.
But I cannot imagine no running, that must be painful in itself! But mom knows best so rest that knee till it is fully healed. You don't want to be remembered as the Queen that hobbled!
