Hmmmm. Did I say "normal"?
Well maybe this isn't quite "normal".
However, the Duchesses reaction was normal! Hahahaha!
It rains here. Rain makes for muddy paws.
Paws that match the kitchen runner rug.
This is what happens after the mud bath.
A real bath!
Don't we look fluffy?
Now that Christmas is behind us, we hope you have a very Happy New Year.
Kisses,
Happy New Year to Emma Rose, Sir Bear, Mister Higgins and the Duke and Duchess!!! We love the mud pictures...and then the after the bath pictures!!! Lots of love, Holly and mom
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! I'm so glad I'm not the only one with dirty bed sheets!
ReplyDeleteYay! I love me some muddy paws! Hehe :-)

Ah.....awesome! Yes, we know muddy paws...and stinky muddy mmmm. I love it, but mom...not so much. I think I get hosed off 2+ times a day! Yikes! But, oh so much fun outdoors.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a fantastic Christmas :) Have a wonderful New Years!
Hugs and snaggle-tooth kisses,
Sierra Rose
That is the exact reason that dad won't let me on the bed...
ReplyDeleteYou do look nice and fluffy after your bath. You look happy that it is over with too!
Emma Rose, how do you manage to get to the nice sheets with the muddy paws? We all get escorted to the kitchen where we are wiped down with towels and then the gates are closed:(
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you and all the family too.
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
Tee hee! Methinks your Duchess needs to remake the bed! I guess you are starting the New Year off nice and clean. I'm sorry they stole your stink!
ReplyDeleteMay the New Year bring health and prosperity to you!
Bunny
Oh goodness! You've made the castle all muddy!
ReplyDeletehappy new year to you too!
Nice job!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year all!
Hugz&Khysses,
Khyra
Happy New Year to you too!
ReplyDeleteLaughed at the muddy pawprints.
Luna got a bath this evening as she rolled in something particularly stinky on our walk this afternoon. Our dog pool is out all year round, and I use that to rinse the dogs feet in if they are dirty. The ground is frozen right now, and we had a dusting of snow yesterday, which makes for much cleaner dogs!
Dear Emma Rose, Mr Higgins nd all the humans...
ReplyDeleteWishing you all the best for the new year. May 2011 be a year filled with happiness, joy, love, companionship, health and fulfillment.

Hello, Emma Rose! We haven't visited you before. So first, Happy Belated Birthday! Second, we really like that your Duchess has the same decorating philosophy our mama does: patterned, dirt-colored rugs that don't show the dirt and mud as badly as solid, non-brown floors. However, the white duvet cover was clearly a mistake :) Mama mostly has patterned comforters, too, although she does have one ivory one she loves that sure shows the dirt. Glad you found a safe way to protect the kibble from Sir Bear. Mama used to have a Dane with similar tendencies. She used [still uses] a large metal garbage can and added those bungee cords over the side handles & through the top handle, like people used to use to secure items to the rack on the back of a bicycle. Of course, Sir Bear is very clever in his Quest to break into the kibble storage, so you might consider chains [like bike locks].
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the new security system!
Happy New Year!

Muddy Paws..we have too much snow here for that..but Chance gets Muddy too in the spring..if we were to bathe him everytime he was muddy I would be exhausted. Our soil is very sandy..so mostly it just falls off onto the floor or the bed..he is spoiled too. Our floors are beige..the same color as our mud..it was planned that way.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to everyone at your house..I hope that Mr Higgens is being good and that Sir Bear hasn't busted into the kibble again. Chance sends you kisses! Come visit and you can run in the snow all day long:)
I must say you look very comfortable on that bed, it must be very hard to resist it.
ReplyDeleteI hope the Duchess gets her new monitor soon as I would hate you to miss anything. I don't know if this is any help but if you use Internet Explorer in the bottom right corner there is a box with a magnifying glass at the side of which is a number which is probably something like 125%, at the side of which there is a little arrow, click on the arrow and a drop down list will appear, choose a lower number and that will make a web page fit the screen better. Excuse me if you already know this but I just thought I would mention it as no doubt there are people out there who don't know and it may help.
hihihi cool fluffy's!!
ReplyDeletehave a wonderful 2011 all of you.

Hi my Dear Emma Rose! you look just like me cause it rains here a lot too. And darn it...M.O.D. install a hose thing in the shower/tub and now I get a rinse often! Dang it...all that work to get that mud all over me and they just wash it down the drain. Geez!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Mistaya

ReplyDeleteWe have those same sheets! I even have a comforter with matching mud-colored paw prints... I can't wait until it is warm enough to rinse those feet OUTSIDE.

Happy New Year to all of you!!
ReplyDeleteUhhh-ohh... did you leave muddy paw prints on the bedspread? If we did it, it'd give my mom a fit (or two). Good thing the color of the kitchen runner rug goes quite well with the muddy prints. :P
Hi Emma Rose, how are things with you?
ReplyDeleteWow - it's been a long time - we were on vacay and when we got back, I guess your post had moved waaaay down and Mom never read it to us - where are you? Love this post, as we've tried to do that, but Mom gets us at the door with the towel - we're not as fast as you heheh! We adore mud and water, winter or summer and love your pawprints on Ma's bed!!! Are you camping?
ReplyDeleteHugs xoxox

Today the snow is really deep here and it is still snowing, but when that snow melts it gets really muddy here, too. Since I am the only one who is agile enough to jump into the bed, I am always the one to get into trouble! Oh, and since I am a white dog, well, the mud on me shows up really well. You look quite lovely after your bath! Happy New Year!
