Winchester Bay - Part Three

When the sun finally came out so did we.
The air was crisp but the sun was glorious!

We went for a long walk to get to the beach.

Higgins had never been to the water before.

It was too cold to go swimming, but who can swim on a leash anyway?

I thought the water was really great. . .

But, as you can see, Mister Higgins wanted nothing to do with it!

We took a picture on the way back. See all the RV's in the distance?
Ours is there somewhere!

That night we had a beautiful sunset right out our back window.

Isn't it spectacular?

The next morning while the Duke and Duchess were having coffee, Mister Higgins climbed on the sofa (and on the Duke) to make his wishes known. There is just no ignoring that puppy!

Toys! It's always about toys!

Remember that gloomy picture out our back window when it was all gray? Now look at it.
What a difference the sunshine makes!

The morning we left we could see the waves breaking way out there.

On the way home we took a nice picture of Mt. Hood.
The Duchess calls it the killer mountain because it is so dangerous.

Well, we are almost there.
Our castle is just down the road and around the corner!
It was fun trip but there's no place like home!

Kisses!

  10. Don't you just love it when we get to go on holiday with our pawrents! Ours took us to Maine this year, we found out that like Mr. Higgins, Calvert (The Cowardly-hehehe) does not like the water!

You and I know better... it's sooo much fun to swim around!

Thank you for sharing these photos, our mom really enjoyed them.

  11. Emma, That looks like a woofy kind of trip I would like to take! I can understand about Mr. Higgins placing importance on toys. I always make my mom take about 5 of mine when we take road trips!

  13. What a fantastic place for Thanksgiving weekend Emma Rose! Love all the photos and had to crack up a bit at your pal, Mr. Higgins with the toy!
My mom used to do a bit of night skiing on Mt. Hood when she attended L&C in Portland (years ago). She very much misses the PacificNW!
    Have a nice weekend.

    Hugs and snaggle-tooth kisses,
    Sierra Rose
