July 4th Camping Trip - Part One

We are finally getting around to sharing our pictures of the July 4th camping weekend.  We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to going back.

This is Mister Higgins' new favorite spot.

Bear was happy to be in the gravel.  He is so easy to please!

This is our neighbor, Gypsy.

Going for a Royal walk with the Duke and Duchess.

I found a large variety of smells that needed sniffing.

This is a silly picture of me.  The Duchess wanted a "portrait" of the Queen.  Of course I would not cooperate fully.  I mean really,  she thinks she can boss around the Queen.  NOT!

This time she was sneaky and took the picture when I was preoccupied.

This is me running to the Duke.  Cute paws, huh?

I was getting really bored with this whole "portrait" thing.

I would rather be running off-leash!

The Royal Zoom!

Mister Higgins is trying hard to copy me.

He didn't like the "Portrait" thing either.  It is very difficult for him to sit still.

But he really tried to please the Duke.

He got bored pretty fast though.

Here he is kissing up to the Duke.

And here too!

Time for a game of ball.  You will notice that Higgins is never off-leash.  He is still a puppy and he has to wear a long line when we play in unfenced area's.

What goes up . . .

Must come down!

Mine!!!

I will try to show you the rest of the pictures tomorrow.  I hope these look ok.  Our Blogger preview is broken so we just have to post it and hope for the best :)  Thanks for stopping by!

Kisses,

  1. Emma Rose!!! Absolutely beautiful photos! What a lovely spot for camping! That long line Higgins is on looks a lot like mine! About 70ft of clothes line and some 1in webbing :)
We love this post! Guess what!? The first part of our camp trip this time was xl'd due to Florence Lake which is above the campground, having some spillover into the campground! Good grief, will we ever make it out camping again? :)

    Hugs and snaggle-tooth kisses,

  6. Sugar,

The camera the Duchess uses is a Nikon D60. It has 2 lenses and the telephoto lens takes the best action shots.

    Kisses!

  7. Nice catch, Mr. Higgins!

We think the royal portaits turned out smashingly successful! Everyone look so regal.

Bear, we love a doggie who isn't picky. If a bed of gravel suits your fancy, then we're behind you 100%!! :)

  11. Emma Rose, Loved seeing all your camping photos-looks like you have quite a nice set up. I am wondering if Higgins is a Border like you or some other breed? I love you all.
I'm hoping to someday get a trailer so that I can take my dog/dogs along.
    That would make it purrfect.

  13. NanaNor,

Higgins is actually a pure bred Border Collie. I am a Bossie. That is 1/2 Border Collie and 1/2 Aussie!
Sir Bear is 1/2 Lab and 1/2 Aussie, though it's hard to tell because he just looks like a Lab :)

    Kisses,
    Emma Rose
