The Grand Daughter (or A Duchess in Training)

We went camping again - back to the same place - over the huge bridge.  But this time we took the Grand Daughter, "Lady G".  Things started out a bit shaky. Mister Higgins was very rude and frightened Lady G before we even hit the road.  The Duchess had to convince him that little girls are not scary.  Then she had to explain about dogs and their fears to Lady G in hopes that the two would become fast friends.

When Higgins realized that little girls can throw a ball he was instantly in love.  If she had the ball, she had his admiration.  Over the next four days there was much ball throwing!

Here is our campsite on the first day.  Lady G was enjoying an ice cream cone while we rested from the long trip.  Higgin's crate hasn't even made it inside yet.

This is Lady G.  She is my new BFF.

And she wears cool jeans!

Bubbles were a huge hit.  The Duchess found some giant wands and everyone had a good time with them.

I spent some time, of course, keeping Mister Higgins in line.

Sometimes he would kiss up to me. . .

And then we were back at it!

Higgins was not sure what to make of those bubbles.

I thought they were rather intriguing.

Lady G thought so too.

He only looks confused because he is :)

We went for walks quite often.

I had a wonderful time with Lady G.

She gives great hugs!!!

We have more pictures to share with you, but this is enough for today.  We are having a very hard time with Blogger for some reason.  Maybe tomorrow it will work right :)
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Kisses,

  3. "He only looks confused because he is"..that line made me smile! So did the bubbles..what a fun time and I am so happy that Lady G found her throwing arm..the way to a Border Collies heart is either through a ball, a frisbee or some sheep. your Lady G is beautiful, I bet she had a grand time..love her jeans! :)

  4. You are very regal, but Mr. Higgins is just darn cute, and so is Lady G. Looks like a great camping trip!
And yes, it sure does help the border collie relationship if you can do something with them that they LOVE to do!

Looks like she won over both Mr. Higgins and lovely Emma. No word from Mr. Bear?

  12. I've just noticed that Mr. Higgins had MASSIVE ears! He's cute though. That's like the relationship between Ben and Sheila, the girls have to keep the boys in line!
