Higgins and the Plastic Bowl

Mister Higgins does not like to eat out of a plastic bowl.  He wants his stainless steel dish.  When we are camping we use plastic dog bowls.  But even though he makes a point of refusing to eat, he's smart enough to know one of us will get it if he walks away.  In no way is that acceptable.  He doesn't want it but no one else can have it either!

So he tries to hide it. Bwahahhahaha!

All the while Sir Bear and I just bide our time.  As soon as Higgins looks the other way - BAM - bye bye dinner!

Kisses,

  2. Phantom is like that too. But Mom puts him in a separate room from TD and Ciara, who inhaled their food. He gets just so much time to decide if he is going to eat and then the Momster puts his bowl up. If the other two go outside for a while, then he gets it again, but he isn't much of an eater.

Mom says she had a dog who would try to cover her food too, she even did it with water - silly girl.

Looks like camping can be lots of fun.

  3. That is so hysterical!!
We tried to switch over to stainless from plastic and Stanzie starved herself for 3 days. We were just about to take her to the vet, mom thought she must be really sick. Then on a whim, we put the food back in the plastic bowl and Stanzie ate like a pig...BOL.
Some dogs just don't like change!!

  4. This is hilarious!! Mr. Higgins is so cute!

Eva won't care whether her bowl is plastic or stainless steel, as long as there is food in it, she never cares!

  5. Mr. Higgins is quite funny:)
No problems like that here, all the dogs live for meal time. Doesn't matter what the food is in or on, it goes down as fast as they can chew it.

  9. BOL! Blueberry does the same thing, too! She hides it in the crate, though, and guards it so we can't get in!

  10. OH what a silly puppy! Faith does that sometimes too. Sometimes she does not want to eat her food & then walks away. But she'll charge back towards her bowl & growl if any of dared to go close to it. Sigh.

  11. Oh Higgens is just a tad spoiled ..I think. He did a great job of covering it up for what good it does. Chance hides his treats..but never his food..yet. Chance sends Emma Rose kisses:)

  12. Poor guy! I know we tried to get Monty to eat off a paper plate the last time we went camping and he was highly offended. Maybe he and Mr Higgins should get together and compare notes!

  15. Thanks so much for the kind comments earlier this week. We really appreciate our blogging friends.

When we go camping, we can mess up the feeding routines, too.

It looks like a fun holiday, that bat house is huge! (we just had a back read of a few of your posts) It must look really impressive when it is full of them.
