What has happened to Blogger?  First we lost the ability to click on a picture to enlarge it, and now we cannot comment on any blogs.  What is a Queen to do?????  Does anybody else have these problems???? Mister Higgins does not like to eat out of a plastic bowl.  He wants his stainless steel dish.  When we are camping we use plastic dog bowls.  But even though he makes a point of refusing to eat, he's smart enough to know one of us will get it if he walks away.  In no way is that acceptable.  He doesn't want it but no one else can have it either! Mister Higgins is doing excellent.  The Duchess took him to the Vet after the biting incident and the Vet suggested she take him to a "Behaviourist".  He also had the gall to say that euthanasia was also an option.  The Duchess couldn't believe he would even consider that.  Why would she destroy her beloved puppy because she didn't teach him the rules?????  Needless to say she was not very happy

(Which I call the dungeon).  For several years they had a ceramics shop down there. After all the trauma about Higgins, I decided to brighten things up a bit with a picture of ME!  How cool is that? :)  These pictures were taken last week when the sun came out for a few days.  Today the rain is back, but that's ok because we have bones to chew on.  Yum, yum! I realized after reading your comments on our last post that I needed to give you more information.  So here is what led up to the bite and what we did afterwards. Higgins sleeps in his crate in the kitchen. It is open so he can get out if he wishes, but he cannot get out of the kitchen.  We decided he was trustworthy enough to sleep with us so we let him stay on our bed when we went to sleep.

It has been a hard week for us.  Mister Higgins is being a real naughty boy.  He bit the Duke for no reason, other than he was cranky (Higgins, not the Duke).  Then he growled at the Duchess for three days in a row.  She couldn't get near him in the morning without him letting her know to "back off".  Today he seems back to his goofy sweet self.  Have any of you experienced anything like this?

This is our new runner rug in the kitchen.  The Duchess says it is the exact color of muddy paws and dog hair.  We used to have a green one but Mister Higgins chewed it up so we had to throw it away.Hopefully he is mature enough now that he won't eat this one.  Time will tell. . . As I promised earlier, I am going to try to tell you about the "camera"  and how we use it.  You may be surprised to learn that the camera does most of it.  Here goes. . . . . The camera is a Nikon D60.  We purchased it from Costco.com in April 2009.  It was a packaged deal with the camera body and two lenses.  The lens we use most of the time is an 18-55mm.  The other lens is larger, 55-200mm.

Remember when I showed you a picture of me standing on this tree stump?  We were waiting for the rain to stop so we could bring in the heavy machine to take out all the roots. Well, it finally dried out enough to do it. The roots were on top of the ground and had to be pulled out first. It made a terrible mess of the yard. Then the stump could be removed.It left a huge hole in the ground.

A number of you have asked where we got our new Paw Print Ice Cube Trays.  We ordered them from the Animal Rescue Site.  We thought they looked like a fun thing to have in our trailer when we go camping.  And they are!  But the neat part is, when you purchase them the Animal Rescue Site funds 14 bowls of food for animals in shelters.  It's a win-win thing, don't you think? UPDATE:  We posted this and all the fonts looked the same. I don't know what we did wrong because the preview shows all the different fonts. :( Today we got brave and tried the new Blooger in Draft to change the look of our blog.  It looks kind of like the old one but is bigger!  Now we are going to try to put in some BIGGER pictures of your Queen to see if you approve.  Please let us know

It is true. I failed miserably. After several lessons it was quite obvious that what I had was "prey drive" not "herding instinct".
